Cringetober 2025 Challenge
The Cringetober challenge made by icryink kickstarted my drawing journey. Drawing something funny or pretty everyday gave me joy and contentment that I haven’t felt since I was a child.
Day 1: Overpowered
The attack titan. The muscles look hella rectangular.
Day 2: Weird Colours
Jinx from Arcane. This was a fun mental exercise trying to make the highlights neon-green-toned and the shadows dark-red-toned.
Day 3: Chibi
My two favs from Road to Empress (interactive film game).
Day 4: Fursona
Myself as a furry.
Day 5: Favourite Cliche
A character is said to have gap moe if they have constrasting characteristics that make them extra charming, e.g someone who is cold on the outside but is affectionate and gets shy easily on the inside. Here we have a gap and moe (sprouting).

Ivy from my absolute favourite rhythm game Cytus II! Great art, great storyline, great music, great UI, and the most satisfying gameplay.
Day 10: Unnecessarily Complex
Just doodling.
Day 11: Crossover
Inuyasha theme appears multiple times in this challenge. I find it amusing that in the anime (not so apparent in the manga) Kagome’s eyes are taller and rounder, while Kikyo’s eyes are wider and shorter, which ended up matching their physique in Mario world…
Day 12: Vocaloid
Probably the lowest effort drawing in this whole challenge (though not the ugliest drawing). Just draw pretty, no thoughts.
Day 13: Animal Traits
Jinhsi from Wuthering Waves overlocking and being eroded by the power of the dragon inside her.
Day 14: First OC
I don’t think I ever had an OC, so here is my first one, a cat who does martial arts.
Day 15: First Attempt
I wanted to learn a little 3D modelling but blender controls were a struggle. I didn’t finish this tutorial for making a cat head but it was an attempt.
Day 16: Reclaimed Insecurity
The ugliest drawing award goes to this one. I had big ideas for this theme: I used to be afraid of looking like a clown or looking cringe, but now I am convinced that to reach my goal, looking like a cringe clown is a rite of passage.
Day 17: Selfship
Selfship of me and Sesshoumaru being comrades or adopted family..
Day 18: Alternate Universe
Boy band AU of three male characters from Road to Empress. This was fun deciding on the the colour scheme and styling of each character, with Li Zhi in the front with his usual crisp and clean style, Li Tai with his signature navy blue and slut strands, and Bian Ji with his lack of hair and buddhist-monk-inspired robe.
Day 19: Meme Redraw
This is a Sekiro joke based on the classic cat at dinner table meme. The purple umbrella-looking hat that Sekiro cat is wearing is an OP gear that comes in pretty handy when fighting the Headless Ape duo boss. I am completed protected and (almost) invincible when I am under the purple umbrella.
Day 20: Picrew
Another low effort one.
Day 21: Animatic
Some kind of story board with my OC from Day 14.
Day 22: Art Style Experiment
Danjin from Wuthering Waves Overclocking (taken over by the power of mushrooms!!). I experimented with colouring blocks without outlining.
Day 23: Soulmates
Cosmic soulamtes Jay and Viktor from Arcane.
Day 24: Character Redesign
I was overly ambitious with redesigning Cantarella from Wuthering Waves. I ended up keeping everything the same but simply added a corset to her torso.
Day 25: Fake Game Screenshot
Rhythm game type shit featuring OC from day 14.
Day 26: Guilty Pleasure Media
Decided to draw digitally for once! My guilty pleasure at the time of drawing was chinese micro-dramas that usually feature ridiculously cliche plot points, like rich asshole husband slapping kind beautiful wife to the ground. At the time of writing (September 2026), the chinese micro-drama bubble has collapsed and has been replaced by AI micro dramas unfortunately.
Day 27: Gijinka
Gijinka, or humanization of objects, of a stone hair pin that my friend gifted me. Very fun incorporating the various cool colours and industrial-looking components into the drawing.
Day 28: Kid’s Show
I’m a sucker for shows that involve some kind of supernatural transformation like Danny Phantom. The design and colours are so simple but so effective here, can’t believe I did that.
Day 29: Clown
Clowns…another reoccuring theme. Drawing one of my favourite outfits that I put together in Infinity Nikki.
Day 30: Creepypasta
Lesbian horror story.
Day 31: Halloween!!
Last one!! King of Clowns.
Epilogue
Drawing with fun prompts like these brought me back to how I enjoyed drawing as a kid. I felt fulfilled for the first time in decades(?) doing this challenge, it made me think, maybe my life’s purpose is to create beautiful things and convey fun ideas.
